Go-To Hair Styling Products

Hellllooo and happy Wednesday family!

After I shared my tips on “How I Got Healthy Hair”, right away I started getting questions from you all about what products do I use to style it while keeping it as healthy and safe as possible! If you are stilll on step one back to hair health/hair growth/scalp health, head on over to this post and read about how my hair went from falling out to healthy again:

HOW I GOT HEALTHY HAIR

Some of these products I am going to share with you all come back from my pageant days, but a lot of these recommendations I found from my hair gurus at Crown Beauty Bar in Fayetteville, AR. If you want some professional hair help, head on over to Crown Beauty.

Now lets begin:

FAVORITE DRY SHAMPOOS

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo– YALL. This is my number one. It soaks up oils in my hair better then any other dry shampoo I have tried, while never leaving extra color from the spray. Wish I had a lifetime supply of these bad boys. (@oribe please sponsor me.)

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo– I tried this one last year and I LOVE! I found a travel size one at target that I always, always take with me whenever I travel and whenever I go to events in case my hair needs a little extra life.

HAIR PREP PRODUCTS (HEAT PROTECTANT/LEAVE IN PRODUCTS)

Melu Hair Shield Spray– THIS! I use this before I start to blow dry my hair or before I put any sort of heat on my hair. Applied on dry or wet hair I have defiantly seen a difference in my hair health once I started using this!

Melu Hair Shield Shampoo– If you use heat a lot (talking to all my pageant girls out there) THIS IS FOR YOU. If you need an extra shield on your hair, invest in this.

BEST LEAVE IN CONDITIONERS

Davines Oi All In One Milk –  I love this! The texture is very light, which is so great for thin hair, and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all like other leave in conditioners.

Ouai Leave-In Conditioner – Alright, now this may be my holy grail. A little heavier than the one above, and has made my hair feel SO SMOOTH. Using it right after I shower, it helps detangle my hair while giving it shine and softness. My fav leave in conditioner!

HAIRSPRAYS

Big Sexy Hair – CALLING ALL PAGEANT GIRLS. Hi this it is. If you need your hair to stay put in place, keep volume, keep curls, without creating a helmet of hair, Big Sexy Hair is the way to go!

Tresemme Compressed Micro Mist Smooth Hold Level 2 Hair Spray– I use this homegirl for when I am wanting curly hair but for more of a day time look. Holds curls really well without being super intense.

TRESemme Flexible Finish Hair Spray Beauty Full Volume 7.54 oz– This is a GREAT finishing spray for the human that doesn’t love hairspray but wants their hair to stay put in place.

HOW TO MAKE THIN HAIR LOOK THICK

Davines This Is A Texturizing Dust – If you get anything from this blog post it should be this product. I struggled for so long to fins moose that would help thinken my hair, texturing sprays that would help hold my curls, teasing powder to help give my hair heigh, anything to help my control my hair and THIS IS MY GO TO PRODUCT. HOLY SHALAYLAY. Kelly Stucky showed me this product last year and I have been hooked since. It comes in a powder form and with a few shakes near my roots I have control height and volume that stay put with flexibility and movement. I also use a shake on my bangs to force them to be in the exact place I want them and as well as putting a few shakes of the powder on my ends to give my thin hair volume! I can not recommend this product more. If youre wanting a product to help give your hair height and volume, or if youre wanting a loose more texturized feel. GET THIS! (This is also a great texturizing spray: Doo. Over by Kevin Murphy)

HOW TO CURL YOUR NATURAL HAIR

Hi curl cream!! Now I have been obsessed with this curl cream for a while now but I wanted to share it on this space as well, the SGX NYC Curl Cream curl cream is super affordable (6$) and takes me naturally wavy/straight hair and makes it super fun and curly! For a tutorial on this head on over to my IG story highlights!

If there are any other hair questions you all have let me know! Would love to create any and all tutorials to help us all live our best hair lives.

So much love,
